Every FTX owner with unsealed gears should have a few of these in the drawer. At least they're cheap!
by guestway too soft for use on a brushless carnage, look for the hardened one
by guestIt's a spur gear. It's the top part in demand. Because it wears out easily. Who would have guessed running 2s would wear out a cheap plastic spur. Does the job, buy a few unless you want to go metal. For the price of five you can get a metal one online. how long does that last? I have no idea.
by guestHave now gone through 7 spur gears varies between 65T & 73T , each time I use the car the pinion just strips the spur. No adjustments have been made to the speed setup and am running to 2C Lipo battery supplied with the car, so gears should be able to cope right?! Both Spur and Pinion setup correctly.
by porkpieGood product and replacement part for my FTX Vantage. Wears down a little too quickly mind but that is all dependent on your style of driving.
by simmyotoThe FTX spur gears strip very quickly if any kind of debris ends up in the pinion / spur mesh but they are cheap enough to have a few spares on hand.
by bazilboomBought as a spare not needed to use yet so must be good
