Tamiya welcomes the Leopard 2 A7V as an all-action 1/16 R/C tank kit! Just like Item 35387, the powerful Leopard 2 A7V form with square headlights, front additional armour plate and updated turret rear shape is faithfully captured based on extensive research of the actual tank.
About the model
- This is a 1/16 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 701mm, width: 241mm, height: 190mm. Weight: 4,900g.
- The powerful form of the Leopard 2 A7V with L/55 120mm gun is faithfully captured based upon extensive research of the actual tank.
- Just like the full size tank, this model has all-wheel independent suspension with torsion bars for superior mobility. Suspension arms are die-cast (plastic for Item 56020 (1/16 R/C Leopard 2 A6)) for higher quality and reliability.
- Pre-assembled tracks have inserted rubber pads.
- Gun barrel is aluminium and chassis is ABS plastic.
- New DMD T-12 control unit provides gun barrel control system (*) and volume adjustment using
- transmitter, which was not possible for Item 56020. (ref. Image 2 & 3) *This system controls gun elevation and turret direction, keeping the gun trained in a single direction.
- Control Unit uses 4 channels to control forward/back movement, sharp and pivot turning at any speed. Gun elevation, recoil and turret rotation can also be controlled. Engine sounds are synchronised with model speed, while main gun and machine gun firing are realistically accompanied by lights and sound (facilitated by DMD Multi Function Unit).
- DMD control unit and battery pack are installed inside the turret. Pin-attached upper turret allows easy replacement of battery pack. Also, the magnet-attached hatch at the turret rear allows quick access to power and setup switches. (ref. Image 2 & 3 & 4)
- Comes with Type 540 motors (x2, running), type 130 motor (x1, turret rotation), TSU-03 servo (x1, gun elevation) and type 130 motor (x1, recoil).
- Compatible with Item 53447 (Battle System (For 1/16 Scale Tanks)) to give the battle mode.
- Recommended Radio: Carson Reflex 2 (6 CH Radio)
- Requires: Radio, 7.2volt battery with compatible charger, and Tamiya paint and finishing supplied to complete.
