World’s greatest car continues the fight with overwhelming speed
The 1/8 scale GP Buggy is one of the most popular R/C car racing categories in the world. As the benchmark for competitiveness, the Inferno Series has led development through continued innovation, encouraging efforts by other manufacturers to improve their machines year by year. Based on the existing MP10 TKI2, the latest TKI3 Inferno model incorporates components and design elements that were developed for the 2022 IFMAR (International Model Car Federation) World Championships. By changing the body design, the TKI3 can adapt to a wide range of track layouts, from technical circuits with tight corners to high-speed courses typically found in Europe. Adjustable wing height also expands the range of aerodynamic settings. Thicker gauge wire in new suspension springs was introduced for the World Championships for tighter cornering control. In addition, a review of the drive system incorporated a smaller center differential with revised gear ratio and a lighter spur gear plus 3-piece clutch to improve throttle response. The MP10 TKI3 is now more capable and more adaptable to different types of course layouts, not only for high-level competition, but also just for the fun of driving very fast. Whether you are competing at the highest level or simply enjoying an R/C car in its purest form, the TKI3 exceeds all expectations.
Building on knowledge gained from the existing model’s characteristics, the newly designed body produces improved aerodynamic performance. Enhanced responsiveness through low to medium-speed cornering is delivered while maintaining optimal posture through jumps.
Using the MP10 TKI2 as a base, newly developed components have been tested in the heat of battle at the World Championships. Incorporating the latest development trends from around the world, the TKI3 demonstrates exceptional performance on Japanese and international circuits.
Newly developed shock springs feature increased diameter (φ1.6), creating a higher sense of grip with large amounts of roll, and increased cornering speed.
Reduced weight has been achieved by changing the center differential case to the same one used on the front and rear, which combines with a new lightweight spur gear to deliver increased throttle response.
